These D.I.Y. lip scrubs will keep your lips feeling and looking soft and healthy all winter long!

Hey, Beauty Queens! Now that winter is around the corner, it's time to talk lip care! My favorite way to take care of my lips is to whip up a batch of yummy sugar lip scrubs. These recipes are my tried and true favorites, use simple and inexpensive ingredients, and are easy to make in a pinch because they include things I always have on hand. Just exfoliate those lips and finish with your favorite lip balm or lip oil and you'll be good to go!

1. Vaseline sugar lip scrub

Add enough fine grain sugar to a glob of Vaseline to make a scrubby paste, apply the mixture to your pout in circular motions, and wipe it off. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

2. Brown Sugar Honey Lip Scrub

I loooove this one. Combine one tablespoon of brown sugar, a teaspoon, or so, of honey (enough to make a scrubby paste), and a drop of vanilla extract (optional) for flavor. Scrub that pout, wipe (or lick!) off, and top with your fave lip moisturizer.

3. Tropical Coconut Honey Lip Scrub

This is another super yummy D.I.Y. lip scrub that I just love! Combine one tablespoon of coconut oil*, one tablespoon of coconut sugar (regular sugar works fine, too), a half tablespoon of honey (or agave nectar for a vegan alternative), and a drop of coconut extract for added tropical yumminess! Scrub up, lick off, and top with some balm, or keep the tropical theme going and dab some coconut oil on your lips!

*I prefer virgin coconut oil because I think it tastes better, but refined will work just as well. For more information on the health benefits of virgin/unrefined coconut oil, check out this article.

Ta-da! Your lips are gorgeous and ready to smooch!! You can thank me later.

I hope you love these lip scrub recipes as much as I do! If you try any of them out, let me know what you think in the comments, below, and don't forget to share the lippy love with your best gal pals!

xo,

Emily
